It’s that time again, it’s Monday night and WWE Raw is soon at hand! A special one as well as it’s night two of the WWE Draft! Here at 1Z1 Pro Wrestling as always you can expect a full recap of the night’s events, so watch this space!
Randy Orton makes his way out to open the show. Several minutes later he’s in the ring with a mic. Says regardless of whether he gets moved or not, one thing remains the same. And it’s the fact that in less than two weeks he will be locked inside Hell In A Cell with Drew McIntyre and he will take the WWE Championship with him. 2020 has been a hell of a year to say the least but it’s been the year of Drew McIntyre, you can’t dispute that. He headlined WrestleMania, beat Brock Lesnar and became the face of WWE. He said until he beat Drew McIntyre with an RKO last week, McIntyre hadn’t lost for almost an entire year. Randy says if that’s not a sign of things to come, he doesn’t know what is.
Orton says that in less than two weeks, he will pin him yet again. He will end his legacy in the Cell and take the WWE Championship from him with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment. R-K- nope, Drew’s MIDI bagpipes interrupt. Drew says yes, he was the first person to pin him in nearly a year. What he doesn’t understand is that he was prone for a kick to the skull, but he started to gloat. Drew says when he kicked him at Clash of Champions it was for everyone he screwed over. But in the Cell, everything he does, it’ll be for him.
McIntyre says Orton might be drafted tonight and he made a promise last week, said he made a promise that every single time they were in the building together, he’d kick the crap out of him. Wouldn’t want to break the promise. So he goes down into the ring and starts battering him around. Orton momentarily gets the advantage and darts out of the ring, Drew pursues but Orton drives him into the apron. Uppercuts, Drew reverses a whip and sends him into the barricade! Then to the post! Slammed onto the announce table! Big back suplex onto the desk! Throws him back into the ring but Orton rolls to the other side and escapes up the ramp.
Next segment, we have Stephanie McMahon yet again announcing the draft picks. The first pick, Monday Night Raw selects the Fiend! Kinda figured that but a good pick regardless. And SmackDown quickly keeps Bayley. Raw locks up Randy Orton. SmackDown selects the Raw Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits, kinda had to see that coming. Raw also keeps Charlotte Flair, who has not appeared in a long while.
Now, a blowoff. Atleast in theory.
No DQ: Aleister Black vs. Kevin Owens

Drops the chair, DDT onto the steel. Cover for a 2 count. Owens sets up the chairs in the ring, pulls Aleister up to the top rope! He wants a big ‘ol superplex through those chairs. Black fights it, knocks him to the mat.
BLACK WITH A METEORA SENDING OWENS RIGHT ONTO THE CHAIRS!! That looked like absolute murder! Nearfall!! Another chair is setup, table in the ring as well. Fight spills to the outside, Black Mass but Owens ducks it and Black hits the turnbuckle! Into the ring, Owens hits a Stunner! Powerbomb through the table and he gets the pin!
Winner: Kevin Owens
Damn good hardcore match there.
Next round of the Draft is up. Raw officially drafts Braun Strowman, who has basically been here for weeks anyway. SmackDown keeps Daniel Bryan who Stephanie makes sure to call a B+ Player. Raw drafts Matt Riddle, he sure wasn’t on SmackDown for long. And SD! gets Kevin Owens. Jeff Hardy gets drafted to Raw, somehow didn’t see that coming.
John Morrison and the Miz are in the ring boasting about what a great pick they were for Raw. Miz says Heavy Machinery got split up, thanks to his connections. Miz introduces Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke. Mandy says that getting Mandy moved to Raw was not an opportunity, it was petty. He just did it to get to Otis and he’s ruining people’s lives. Miz and Morrison argue that she’s doing way better on Raw.
They try and stir tension between Dana and Mandy. Dana says there’s no jealousy here like with Mandy and Sonya. Miz says they’re in a dual-branded battle royal where only one woman can win and face Asuka. Mandy says the only awkward thing is Miz and Mandy being on the same brand, tonight, maybe the best woman win.
Lana and Natalya interrupt. Lana asks why they’re interviewing those two blondes, when Nattie is the winningest of all time. Lana calls herself the winningest social media influencer of all time and also brags about having two ex-husbands and an ex-girlfriend. Faces reply that maybe if she spent less time on social media and more time training she might actually win a match. Brawl kicks up, faces win out and they send them to the floor.
Miz and Morrison still in the ring for some reason after the break. Miz says that got a little out of hand but he has a backup guest for this season premiere of MizTV on Monday Night Raw. He wants to bring out his next guest, the mayor of Slam Town, John Morrison, who is already sitting right next to him. John says Plan B is a little better than Plan A. Says there’s a lot of speculation as to when their hit show the Dirt Sheet is going to debut on Raw… Lars Sullivan interrupts. He enters the ring, goes after Miz but he leaves Morrison to his fate, Lars with a big boot! Clothesline in the corner drops him, Miz starts to pull him from the ring but not very hard. Lars takes him up and just hurls him around the ring. Freak Accident drops Morrison and Lars howls.
New Day and Street Profits are backstage. Adam Pearce says the most logical solution here is a simple title exchange. Angelo tells them to treat Patricia right. Indeed they just up and swap belts. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode show up and say they beat the Raw tag champs in a six-man tag match and they deserve a title match. Kofi says if it’s a molly-whopping that they want then they will affix their boots betwixt their cheeks. Profits and New Day hype each other up.
Stephanie here with the next round. Raw has drafted Retribution, that’s just funny. And Retaliation just isn’t there on the graphic with no explanation. SmackDown gets Lars Sullivan. Raw keeps Keith Lee. King Corbin is staying on SmackDown. Alexa Bliss is of course following the Fiend to Raw.
Seth Rollins comes out and says SmackDown is gaining much but sadly Raw is losing a lot. They’re losing the purveyor of good. They’re losing the greatest leader in the history of Monday Night Raw. He looks back there and asks if there’s anyone who can fill his shoes and fill the void left behind? And the answer is no. Who is going to try and step up? He knows who it won’t be. It won’t be Dominik or Rey Mysterio because they have also been drafted to SmackDown. While this is a sad moment for everyone at home, he doesn’t want to leave his role as the greatest leader with- Jeff Hardy interrupts!
Seth chuckles, says he wanted to find a leader and that’s CERTAINLY not him. Tells him to get the hell out of his ring. Jeff says Seth is a SmackDown superstar and now he’s on Raw, so it’s kinda his ring. Seth appreciates Jeff wanting to say his farewell but he should really be focused on his match this Friday with THE FREAK Lars Sullivan. That’s the eighth time this show they’ve called him the Freak. As Seth is making his leave, AJ Styles also comes out to the stage. AJ tells him to keep steppin’, this was never Monday Night Rollins anyway.
He derides Jeff Hardy but Seth walks up behind him and pulls him aside. Jeff with a baseball slide onto them both! Poetry In Motion using AJ to attack Seth! Comes off the apron with a clothesline to Styles! Takes up a mic and says him and AJ still got business but before Seth takes off, he wants to show him that Raw is in good hands with a triple threat match RIGHT NOW!

Good match. Looks like Elias still believes Sheamus about that whole drunk driving incident.

Mandy was a tad uncoordinated at the end there but I appreciate the expanding moveset, she should be a good worker in time. Finish was pretty cool, definitely impressive hitting that senton from that height.
Meanwhile Nattie in the ring says this is not working out and just up and leaves Lana. Ricochet approaches MVP, who asks him if he’s a glutton for punishment. Ric says he wants one last match. With Cedric making his choice and the possibility that Apollo could get drafted to SmackDown, he could be alone on Raw. Says it does nothing for anyone for them to keep coming after him. So he wants a one-on-one match with any of them. If he wins, they leave him alone. But if they win, he’ll join the Hurt Business. MVP volunteers Cedric, who is back tonight, and he is happy to be the man to face him.
Angel Garza comes out. Zelina Vega is on commentary for this one, and no surprise who the opponent is…
Angel Garza vs. Andrade
Angel pulls the pants off right away, Andrade with an immediate chop across the chest. Takes him down, driving forearms to the back of his head. Pulls the bum leg over the bottom rope and stomps it. Pretty short lived there. Zelina does actually check on Andrade afterwards but the lights fade! And the Fiend’s screech begins… Alexa Bliss appears in the ring doing the upside down pose! Then the Fiend appears behind Andrade! Fiend and Alexa hook Andrade and Zelina… Simultaneous Sister Abigail drops them!

Woods with an enziguri fighting back, Ziggler pulls Kofi off the apron to prevent the tag. Wants to throw him into the steps but Kofi leaps over them, then comes off them for a big clothesline! Very strong match there. Particularly impressed with how good Xavier Woods looks coming off this layoff.

Ricochet acts like he’s about to hit Cedric but instead he slams the chair on the mat and sells like he’s been hit! Ref disqualifies Cedric!

Cute. Ric and Cedric make for great action, wish they could’ve gone longer.
Stephanie McMahon comes out for the final Draft round. Amazingly Titus O’Neil gets drafted to Raw, that tells you where we’re at in this Draft. Carmella goes to SmackDown. Peyton Royce stays on Raw. Aleister Black is going to SmackDown. Akira Tozawa stays on Raw.
Now we have a battle royal. Is this the main event…?
Dual-Branded Women’s Battle Royal, Winner Gets A Shot At Asuka
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax make their way out, they’re the first two but of course most will be coming out during commercial so I won’t be able to properly list them. Amazingly after the commercial, Nia takes up a mic. Says obviously the battle royal will be won by Shayna, or more likely her. So to save some time, pain and humiliation, how about the rest just jump over the top rope so she doesn’t have to take them over herself. They all swarm her and the bell rings. Lana with a few high kicks to Nia, Tamina clobbers her from behind. Big women staredown. Then grab Lana, double headbutt lays her out! Nia and Tamina tease a hug but then Nia hurls Tamina over the top rope to the floor.

Shayna gets Dana and Mandy on the apron. They want a double suplex counter, but Nia with the assist knocks them both to the floor. The whole field gangs up on Nia to try and eliminate her and Shayna Baszler comes in to help dump her! Nia is mad, strips off the table. She randomly grabs Lana and Samoan Drops her through the announce table I’m sure you’re surprised. Meanwhile Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre are brawling backstage. Commercial break.

Shayna with a brutle knee to the face. Peyton Royce is dumped to the floor on the apron. Bianca Belair with a Glamslam sends Liv Morgan onto Ruby Riott. Bianca dumps Baszler to the floor! Natalya attacks her from behind. Takes her up top, Bianca knocks her away but Ruby hoists Liv up for a big dropkick that takes Belair to the floor!
Liv, Ruby, Lacey and Nattie are the last ones in. Ruby and Liv clobbers Lacey and Nattie, heels win out and get them to the apron, forearms send them to the floor and the Riott Squad has been eliminated. Natalya and Lacey exchange blows, Evans is taken to the apron, she pulls Natalya out there with her. Natalya slams Evans into the post, she barely hangs on. Natalya charges but Evans kicks her, Natalya holds onto the second rope, feet dangling over the floor. She manages to pull herself to the apron. Evans tries for a rana but Nattie holds on! She swings her right into the post and Evans falls to the floor! She’s cackling but Lana slips in behind her and kicks her to the floor for the win!
Yeah I didn’t remember seeing her get eliminated. Kinda didn’t think she was getting up from the table bump but I guess she’s gained a bit of an immunity to it. Meanwhile McIntyre and Orton fight their way to ringside. They have to be pulled apart and that’s the end of the show.
